Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre (Chinese: 深圳大运体育中心), also known as Shenzhen Universiade Centre, Longgang Universiade Sports Centre,

or Longgang Stadium, is a multi-use sport facilities complex in Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The sports centre was completed in 2011.

It is used mostly for association football and athletics competitions, and hosted some events at the 2011 Summer Universiade.

The stadium has a capacity of 60,334 spectators.[1] The Shenzhen Dayun Arena has a capacity of 18,000 spectators, while the aquatic centre has

a capacity of 3,000 spectators. On 15 September 2018, the NHL played one pre-season game at the stadium between the Calgary Flames and Boston Bruins.

The stadium was initially slated to host the Finals of the 2021 League of Legends World Championship, but due to complications related to COVID-19 pandemic in China,

the event entirely was moved to Iceland.

Fire-rated doors in Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre technology overview,

① Application Areas & Positioning

Fire-rated doors are strategically deployed across Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre (capacity: 60,000+) to compartmentalize fire hazards and ensure rapid evacuation:

Evacuation Pathways:

Pressurized stairwells connecting spectator tiers (e.g., Levels 1–4), equipped with Class-B fire doors (≥60 min rating) to maintain smoke-free vertical escape routes.

Corridors linking concourses to exits, using glazed fire doors (ceramic glass panels) for visibility and light transmission.

High-Risk Technical Zones:

Electrical substations, HVAC plants, and generator rooms secured with Class-A steel doors (≥90 min rating).

Backstage areas (e.g., pyro storage, rigging control) isolated by blast-resistant doors (multi-layer steel/aramid composites).

Public Assembly Spaces:

Vomitory entrances to seating bowls, using double-leaf doors with sequential closers* to manage crowd flow while meeting fire compartmentalization requirements.

② Critical Functions

Fire/Smoke Containment:

Intumescent seals expand at 200°C+ to seal gaps ≤3mm, confining flames/toxic gases within origin zones (60–120 min integrity per GB 12955-2008).

Egress Optimization:

Integrated with illuminated door boundary stones (e.g., HH-DT-210230 models) that auto-glow during power failures, guiding escape paths.

Structural Resilience:

Reinforced hinges (4+ bearings) withstand crowd-induced pressures and seismic loads.

System Synergy:

Electromagnetic hold-open devices release within ≤30 sec upon BMS signal, enabling compliance with GB 50016-2014 crowd management protocols.

③ Material & Structural Design

Core Construction:  Galvanized steel frames (1.5mm thickness) with rock wool/mineral wool insulation for humid subtropical environments.

Glazed variants: 6mm ceramic-fired glass + 12mm air gap + 6mm tempered glass, achieving 60-min integrity without compromising visibility.

④ Intelligent Systems

Auto-closing mechanisms: Hydraulic closers for single doors; sequential closers + flush bolts for doubles.

IoT-enabled monitoring: Real-time status (open/closed/temperature) fed to central BMS via pre-installed conduits.

⑤ Certifications & Performance

Compliant with GB 12955-2008 Class A/B and ISO 17941:2015 for corrosion/wind resistance (typhoon-grade anchoring).

Acoustic enhancement: STC 45+ ratings to dampen arena noise in VIP zones.

⑥ Why this fire solution work in Stadium environments?

Peak-Load Management:  swing doors + sequential closers reduce evacuation time by 22% vs. standard designs.

Corrosion Defense: Stainless steel hardware (hinges/closers) resists humidity-induced degradation.

Arena Acoustics: STC 45+ doors dampen crowd noise in media/VIP suites.

Post-Event Security: Manual override bolts enable rapid lockdown during non-fire emergencies.
