Guangzhou Metro is an urban rail transit system serving Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province, China, as well as the Pearl River Delta region. As of December 28, 2024, Guangzhou Metro operates 17 lines with a total of 332 stations, including 61 transfer stations, covering an operational distance of 705.1 kilometers.

Fire-rating partition doors are strategically deployed across Guangzhou Metros network to compartmentalize hazards and ensure passenger safety: 

 Station Halls & Platforms: 

 Installed between ticket halls, retail zones, and platforms to prevent   smoke/fire spread during emergencies. 

 Boarding Gates: Equipped with stainless steel fire-smoke barriers (FYM/FMM types) to isolate passenger flows from mechanical rooms.

   Pressurized Stairwells: Class-B fire doors (60 min rating) maintain smoke-free egress routes   

   Corridor Links: Separate retail/dining areas from emergency exits using fire-resistant glazed doors (FC-type).

   HVAC/Electrical Rooms: Protected by Class-A fire doors (FM-type, 90 min rating) to contain utility-induced fires.

   Withstand train collisions/explosions via Whipple-structure doors (multi-layer aluminum/aramid fiber composites).
